I am trying to let the kids use all the different cooking methods while making our meals. So far they have used the oven, microwave, stove top, and refrigerator. I stay right by them when they are around the stove and oven. Here is Shera browning the ground turkey.

Luke made the dressing for the taco salad and Shera diced the avocado.
Drew kept picking at it as Shera tossed the salad together!

Our rainbow jello didn't turn out exactly right. We had a hard time with the layers - I had lost my old recipe and had tried a new one - it tasted great, but didn't look exactly right. :( If anyone has a rainbow jello recipe out there - I'd love to get it from you please???
Jeff and Drew started getting a little crazy over the rainbow jello, because it was very good anyway! And we couldn't get Drew's friend, Trenton, away from it! He had dinner with us last night - he was a riot!Don't watch this video if you think our family has "perfect manners". It will destroy your illusion of us!!!
We so spoil our puppies!!!

How fun! I love that you do this with your kids. I think it is so important to have basic cooking skills and their meals all look delicious. Way to go Shera and Luke.
That video was a riot! I LOVE your idea of Cooking School! My girls LOVE to help in the kitchen and learn to bake and cook, most days I don't have enough patience to have the help through the entire meal preparation but maybe one day we can do this too!
