8-4-2010 Wednesday - Starr Kid's Cooking School (Day 2)

Tonight's menu:
Baked Orange Chicken with Noodles
Bread Sticks
Sauteed Spinach
Cantaloupe
Chocolate Bars In A Snap!

Measuring is very important! They learned how to make sure the spoonful of seasoning was flat across the top of the spoon.

They took turns whisking the sauce.

Luke and Shera rolled out the dough, cut it into strips, and seasoned the bread sticks.

All ready -

to go into the oven...

The dinner is served...

Everything tasted great and the best part is - Luke and Shera are excited to eat it!

Now for dessert...
This is their favorite part...

Dessert was awesome - it was all gone by morning!

I LOVE that you are doing a cooking school with your kids! What a fun summer activity. I'm going to have to remember that when my kids are a little older. :) I'm always amazed at how people these days know so little about the basics of cooking! It's such a great skill to teach your kids, and one that will NEVER go out of style!

Olivia LOVES to help me cook, so we're doing a cooking themed birthday party for her and 5 of her little friends...Haha! It should be interesting!
