San Clemente Fun!

We went to San Clemente on Saturday and
took 2 of Noel's friends, Carissa and Aubrey, too!

The kids all went boogie boarding!

The girls swam at home for a while and
then we went to get our nails done and Golden Spoon!
It was a great summer day!

Luke and Shera were having so much fun and giggling
through this "being buried alive" experience!

Our 4th Of July Festivities!

We went to the annual 4th of July street fair around the corner from us. It's always fun to get some good eats and run into old friends!

Luke wasn't so sure about this clown!
She is from "Clown Alley" a part of the senior citizens group.

Luke and Shera tried the dunking machine and Shera dunked the man!
Woo Hoo! Way to go Shera!!!

They had the massive slides too!
I thought Luke was gonna bite it on this one!

Afterwards, we came home and enjoyed some appetizers before the BBQ!

Grams and Drago came for a while too!

The kids swam for hours!!!

Later, we celebrated my birthday (age unknown) and I got Carrie Underwood concert tickets from Jeff! Six of us get to go! Sorry Drew - you'll be at BYU! :(

We watched the city fireworks and then had our own in the backyard also.
What a fun 4th!!!

Jeff got these really cute poppers to celebrate!
Then we had to pick them out of all our food!
But they were very fun!!!

Noel's End of Year Dance Recital!

Noel had her dance recital on the 26th of June and she was wonderful! She was in 4 different dances and the finale. Noel is a very talented dancer and beautiful to watch - very long and lean!

Her friend, Summer, is in some of her classes. Noel is dressed in her 80's outfit here. (Scary to think we had all this from home!) Noel and Summer just made the dance team for next year. Now she has to decide - does she go for musical theater and voice or for the dance team? What do you think? Take our poll to the right and cast your vote!

Fun Family Nights!

For Family Night this last week we decided to kill two birds with one stone.
We did a scavenger hunt road rally. Holly drove to finish her hours!
Woo Hoo!!! What a ride!!!

Each person got to read a poem and figure out the clue for where to go.
Then we took photos of each location!

Our very own Flo Jo Park - we saw a big barn owl on the lamp post there and chased it from post to post!

And of course for the creme de la creme - Golden Spoon (with toppings)!
We love our family nights and will miss Drew not being with us for them! :(

This summer we've been enjoying the backyard a lot with the pool, barbeque, and the garden!

We are growing apples and strawberries!

Our grape vines have really taken off!

Our blueberry bushes are "okay"!

And the peaches are to die for...

Our 22 Year Anniversary Weekend!

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel for our 22nd year wedding anniversary on June 21st. They had redone it, and it was really beautiful.

We walked along the beach each morning. It felt so good to be outside and just take a deep breath of fresh ocean air and relax!

We drove along the coast, ate nachos and virgin pina coladas, went shopping and stopped by Sprinkles in N.B. to pick up a dozen cupcakes. Look at that line! This is how it is most of the time!
