I heard somewhere that they officially dropped the "St." from St. Valentine's Day because it made it a "Christian Holiday". Anyone else notice that it has just "magically disappeared" in the last few years??? It makes me sad...
Holly and I were home over the weekend for her voice competition master class, so we were together Valentine's morning just the two of us. She surprised me with a special breakfast all set up with the nice silver and crystal and even roses!
Later on, Holly made heart shaped sugar cookies. When Jeff and the rest of the kids came home, Noel made dinner for us! I didn't have to cook all day - now that's a great Valentine's treat! She made teriyaki chicken bowls with pink rice!
It was so yummy!
Jeff gave me this awesome moose he found in Park City and was saving for me!
Did you know that moose are my favorite animals???

Shera gave me a giant homemade Valentine's card. Noel made a beautiful card trimmed in ribbon for me too! Then we all watched the movie, "Enchanted" together. It was a very simple Valentine's Day, but very fun.

The moose is a very "elusive" animal! Every time we go to Yellowstone, it's the only thing I really want to see and we never see one! We spend our entire trip looking for them! Too funny it's your favorite--it's not necessarily my favorite, but quite a challenge to find.
What a sweet day!
and no, I did not know that the moose is your favorite animal...interesting little fact!
oh, how sweet! You guys always make Valentines Day such a fun occasion!
What a nice Valentine's Day. I once saw a moose mom and her baby by my grandparent's house in Emigration Canyon. Grant and Audrey both love moose. We have lots of little toy moose.
I hope someday I have kids as thoughtful as yours - but then again, it is such evidence of how special and thoughtful you always make their holidays. They've learned by example.
