3-5-2010 Friday - A Good Man...

Five years ago today, my dad passed away.
He was one of the best men I knew.

He played with me.
He sang to me.
Twice he took me to Europe for a month - just us two.
He taught me how to grow a garden.
He loved a simple life.
He loved his family.
He supported me marrying Jeff in the temple.
He taught me to be organized and clean.
He took me to yummy restaurants.
He showed me how to work hard.
He loved dogs.
He walked everyday of his life.
He loved his La-Z-boy recliner.
He listened to Hawaiian music everyday.
He taught me honesty.
He loved his grandchildren.
He loved to watch lots of movies.
He had a jolly laugh.
He never got mad at me.
He taught me how to cook.
He told me stories about his grandparents.
He was proud to be Mormon though he didn't practice it.
He was a homebody.
He made sure I got an education.
He taught me about politics.
He always had a joke.
He never wanted to be a burden to others.
He loved living.
He let me grow up.
He made me feel important.

I love you dad ~ Carol Ann

Definitely, a good man. You lucky lady! I love when girls love their dads that much...I know I do and am grateful my girls love Mike that way so far too.

That is such a sweet tribute. It is clear to see where you have gotten a lot your parenting skills. I remember meeting your dad, and he was such a kind man.
